FuturePerfect is a New York City-based interdisciplinary production company with a practice that intersects the fields of performance, media, visual art, and technology. Founded in 2009 by Wayne Ashley, the former Director of Arts in Multimedia at Brooklyn Academy of Music, FuturePerfect works with national and international cultural institutions, artists, festivals, and government agencies to produce exhibitions, installations, performances, and symposia relating to art, technology, and innovation. I, who am the chorus is FuturePerfect’s first presentation designed to circulate on the web. We are committed to producing and presenting work that intensifies dialogues across media, locating and exploiting antagonisms between different histories, aesthetics, social economies, and scales—from the intimate and private viewing space of the internet, to the public arenas of the street, club, gallery, theater, and planetarium.
